Provital has taken the wraps off Pureblome, the second ingredient developed through its Triplobiome biotechnology platform.

By leveraging this innovative endophyte-based biotechnology, Provital creates Pureblome when isolating the highly bioactive endophytic bacterium Bacillus velezensis from the inside of the leaf tissue of the agroecologically grown hyssop (Hyssopus officinalis), sourced from Parc de les Olors near Barcelona.

To better understand the synergistic efficacy of the active metabolites produced through this interkingdom symbiosis, metabolomic analysis was conducted on the B. velezensis ferment later used to create Pureblome, where a wide range of peptides, lipopeptides, and other anti-pathogenic molecules from the plant’s world were identified.
