The call comes as PCHi wrapped up the ninth edition of its Technology Summit in Shanghai (pictured), which drew over 2,000 professionals from across the global supply chain, uniting R&D leaders, regulatory experts, and brand innovators in a shared pursuit of industry advancement.
This year’s programme featured several new sessions that explored advanced ingredient development, emerging global perspectives on traditional Chinese medicine, and the application of colloid and interface chemistry in colour cosmetics.
Among the highlights was a keynote by Yan Jiangying, Chair of the China Association of Fragrance, Flavor, and Cosmetic Industries (CAFFCI), who emphasized the growing focus on technological innovation in cosmetics.
She noted how increased investment in this area is fuelling the rise of domestic brands and driving industry transformation.
