Certification body NATRUE (The International Natural and Organic Cosmetics Association) has launched its first-ever Natural Cosmetics Week, running from 23-29 November.
The global initiative is themed ‘Embrace Nature, Empower Your Skin’ to underscore the significance of natural and organic ingredients in beauty products and the role of sustainability in the industry.
Brands will showcase their commitment to natural cosmetics through bespoke promotional activities while retailers will create colourful promotional displays at point of sale.
Some participants will offer exclusive tours of their fields or production areas, highlighting their sustainable practices.
Meanwhile, educational workshops and webinars will be held, focusing on the benefits of natural ingredients and sustainable beauty practices.
Elsewhere, digital discussions and webinars will explore the latest trends in natural cosmetics and sustainability.
“Natural cosmetics are more than just a trend - they represent a significant shift towards healthier, more sustainable living,” said a NATRUE spokeswoman.
“By choosing natural products, consumers are not only looking after their own wellbeing but also supporting environmentally responsible practices,” she added.
NATURE was founded in 2007 with the main objective of establishing strict requirements for natural and organic cosmetic products, particularly organic cosmetics, packaging and product formulations not found in other labels.
Over 9,600 cosmetic products and raw materials all over the world carry the NATRUE label.
