Symrise has inaugurated its first manufacturing facility for cosmetic ingredients in Chennai, India.
The 1,788 square-metre site will blend a wide range of high-quality ingredients for the Indian market.
The multi-functional facility includes packaging and raw material storage capabilities in addition to its advanced blending facilities.
The German firm expects its Chennai hub to strengthen its position as a preferred supplier of actives, botanicals and micro protection ingredients to the Indian industry.
Chung Sin Wong, Vice President of Cosmetic Ingredients, Asia Pacific, said: “I feel optimistic about the opportunities that this addition to Symrise’s manufacturing portfolio will bring.
“Chennai represents more than a factory. It forms a blueprint for sustainable growth and strategic expansion.”
