Givaudan notches 15% increase in half-year Fragrance & Beauty sales

Swiss personal care ingredient maker Givaudan’s Fragrance & Beauty business unit saw sales rise by 15.1% on a like-for-like basis in the first half of 2024.

Fragrance & Beauty revenue was 1.826 billion Swiss francs ($2.066 billion) as its Active Beauty business sub-unit increased sales by 8% on a year earlier.

Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) at Givaudan’s Fragrance & Beauty unit increased to 500m Swiss francs in 2024 compared 383m for the first six months of 2023.

Givaudan’s group sales for the first six months of the year were 3.737 billion Swiss francs, an increase of 12.5% on a like-for-like basis.

EBITDA increased by 18.7% to 906m from 763m for the same period in 2023.

“We are very pleased with our strong performance in the first half of 2024, driven by a high level of volume related sales growth across all markets, segments and customer groups, which translates into a broad set of industry leading financial results,” said CEO Gilles Andrier.

“These results once again highlight the unique position of Givaudan and the strategic choices that we have made in having an extensive range of highly value-added products and solutions to support the growth of all of our customers around the world,” he added.
