Cosmetics mixer maker VMI has opened its first testing laboratory in the United States at Sewell, New Jersey.
The French company said the new facility gives North American manufacturers the opportunity to explore VMI’s range of equipment as well as test, optimize, and validate their production processes.
The laboratory is equipped with a laboratory mixer, a vacuum mixer, and a pilot homogenizer, with a production capacity ranging from 7oz/200ml to 2.6gal/10L.
The available equipment covers various mixing processes and ensures the scale up of formulations and mixing parameters for large scale production.
The new laboratory also features a comprehensive compounding, extrusion, and feeding test centre.
“VMI's new laboratory offers more than just a showcase for products; it is an environment where manufacturers can conduct tests using their own ingredients to identify optimal equipment and processes,” said a company spokeswoman.
“Additionally, they can receive training and process support to scale up their production,” she added.
