Croda appoints Stephen Oxley chief financial officer

Speciality chemicals maker Croda International has appointed Stephen Oxley as chief financial officer (CFO) and executive director.

Oxley is currently CFO of Johnson Matthey, the UK speciality chemicals and sustainable technologies company.

He was previously a partner at KPMG where he spent nearly 30 years advising global companies across consumer, healthcare and industrial sectors.

Oxley is also a Non-Executive Member of the Audit and Risk Committee for the Sovereign Grant which oversees the UK’s public grant to the Royal Family.

Oxley will join Croda no later than 1 April 2025 following a notice period. Anthony Fitzpatrick, President Strategy, Corporate Development & Industrial Specialties, has been appointed interim CFO.

Fitzpatrick joined Croda and the Executive Committee in 2014 having previously spent more than 20 years in global investment banking.
