Barcelona fragrance house Eurofragance has reorganised its management team in line with its newly kicked in 2024-2027 strategic plan.
Eurofragance CEO Laurent Mercier has appointed Clara Mena to chief operations officer (COO) and created two new positions: chief market officer (CMO) and chief business development officer, which will be held by Joan Pere Jiménez and Olegario Monegal respectively.
Mena’s COO role is seen by the company as crucial in strengthening its supply chain and operations to meet growing global demand and maintaining a high level of customer service.
Given the company’s sales growth, one of her main responsibilities will be to lead the expansion of critical manufacturing plants in different parts of the world.
“Over her ten years at Eurofragance, she has acquired extensive experience across supply chain management and operations, making her the natural choice for this strategic position,” said Mercier.
Meanwhile, CMO Joan Pere Jiménez will be responsible for ensuring that Eurofragance meets its financial targets for 2027.
He will be tasked with establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) in the eight subsidiaries, and driving integrated customer relationship management (CRM) and the global deployment of sales and operations planning (S&OP).
“Having spent over ten years with the company, Jiménez has an impressive track record in the various posts he has held, including his leadership of the EAT (Europe, Africa and Turkey) and APAC (Asia Pacific) subsidiaries. He has shown a great ability to mould new talent into teams,” said Mercier.
Meanwhile, Monegal’s chief business development officer role is geared to establishing Eurofragance as a partner of choice for leading regional and international consumer goods companies.
Monegal will direct the global business units (Fine Fragrance and Home & Personal Care) and the marketing team and will focus on the commercial strategy for key potential and strategic customers.
Additionally, Balwinder Rolley will assume the role of General Manager for the Asia Pacific region, taking up the challenge of supporting regional expansion in line with the new strategic plan.
