Biopolax to showcase surfactants at in-cosmetics Global

UK manufacturer of multi-functional plant-based personal ingredients Biopolax will showcase its BPX Gemini range of surfactants at in-cosmetics Global in Paris on 16-18 April.

BPX Gemini is a range of dimeric surfactants with two molecules of conventional monomeric surfactants connected by a spacer.

The unique feature of the BPX Gemini is that the spacer contains carboxyamide groups that is easily biodegradable by natural proteases.

Thanks to its unique ability to form micelles in aqueous solutions at much lower concentrations, says the London-based firm, BPX Gemini adds value to personal care products by reducing turbidity of surfactants, increasing foaming and foam stability as well as improving emulsifying properties of detergents.

Biopolax now produces two modifications: zwitterionic GEZ and anionic GEA surfactants.

The company’s stand number at in-cosmetics Global is 2B68B and is located within the UK Pavilion.
