Provessences cuts ribbon on distillation unit in Provence

French essential oil producer Provessences has inaugurated a second distillation and purification facility in Provence.

Located around 50 kilometres from Mont Ventoux, the 2400 m² site will serve as a hub for distillating, purifying and packaging a wide range of essential oils.

Additional bulk storage and tanks will reinforce its leading position in the supply of pure and natural essential oils to cosmetics, perfume houses, pharma and food industries.

“The state-of-the-art facility brings manufacturing technologies and capabilities on a large scale. It will also provide a secure sourcing for our worldwide customers, taking advantage of our unique local feedstock,” said Provessences CEO Christophe Blanc.

The facility is designed to minimize environmental impact and reduce carbon footprint, featuring solar panels, wastewater treatment, energy-saving heat pumps, up-cycling local agricultural production and more.
