French ingredient maker Herbarom celebrates 30th birthday

French speciality ingredient maker Herbarom celebrated its 30th birthday with a look back at the past and an eye on the future.

The company based in Aouste-sur-Sye in the Drôme department of southeastern France was established on 25 January 1994.

A pioneer in upcycling, Herbarom works on its own manufacturing operations and uses the co-products of its distillations, such as hydrolates.

It also forges with partnerships with food producers are also forged to find new raw material sources.

These co-products are reused as natural cosmetic ingredients with genuine benefits for formulations.

To promote a circular activity, Herbarom recycles its bio-waste with partner farming lands.

“Since its creation, true to its DNA, Herbarom has vibrated to the rhythm of quality natural solutions, capturing the very essence of plants to integrate them into the products and solutions of its partner customers,” said a spokeswoman.

“The group now aims to double its value and consolidate its growth by 2027, by strengthening its position in its various segments,” she added.

“These strong ambitions are built around high-performance organic growth and the potential for external growth in its strategic markets.”

Herbarom is supported by Bpifrance and BNP Paribas Développement, who have taken a minority stake in the company.
