The California Chapter of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SCC) Suppliers' Day exhibition and conference opens today at the Long Beach Convention Centre.
The speaker sessions kick off with a presentation on skin microbiota by Barnet Products, immediately followed by a career panel for students and new chemists hosted by the SCC NextGen Program.
Other presentations on 25 October include the skinification of the scalp by Symrise, tips for developing sunscreens by DSM-Firmenich, the impact of trends by Mintel, and MoCRA by Vogue Regulatory, K&L Gates and IBA.
On the exhibition floor, there will be additional presentations on hair care, upcycled marine ingredients, mixing, preservation, oral care, SPF boosting, retinoids and more.
An afterparty will be hosted at the end of day one that offers a live band and karaoke.
On 26 October, the speaker sessions begin with a presentation by Beauty Insights on ingredient discovery followed by another SCC NextGen Program panel, this time on tips for landing an industry job.
There will also be presentations on influencers, claims testing, product development, AI and many more.
CaliSCC Suppliers’ Day will also host hundreds of exhibitors presenting innovative ingredients and product solutions.
