Oat Cosmetics has promoted James Daybell to chief executive after outgoing managing director Cark Maunsell stepped down.
Daybell, who joined the UK cosmetic ingredient supplier in 2015, was formerly head of marketing at the Southampton firm.
He has overseen the launch and positioning of novel oat-derived ingredients and actives to the beauty and personal care market.
“Oat Cosmetics is leading the way with oat technology in beauty and personal care and I inherit a strong ingredient portfolio and a very talented team. I am focused on increasing business performance and ensuring the global adoption of oat-derived ingredients continues,” said Daybell.
Maunsell, who will remain chairman of Oat Services Group, said it was time for him to hand over the reins to a new generation of leadership.
“I have made the decision to retire, naming James Daybell as successor and my personal choice to take the role of CEO. Having employed and worked with James since 2015, he has my full support and I am confident he will drive the company to new heights as Oat Cosmetics continues to lead the supply and revolution of oat ingredients.”
