Eckart has taken the wraps off Mirage Twinkling Gold, a golden effect pigment with pronounced sparkle and strong colour intensity.
The new pigment is based on highly pure calcium sodium borosilicate. An ideal substitute for PET glitter, it is free of microplastics; it can be used in COSMOS- and Natrue-approved products.
"Like all Mirage pigments, Twinkling Gold comes without animal or palm oil derivatives: this makes it vegan and also halal and kosher-approved,” said Eckart global head of cosmetics Paloma Moya del Valle.
The German firm says the new effect pigment gives a smooth and pleasant skin feeling as well as attractive sparkle effects in nail, lip and eye applications.
Mirage Twinkling Gold adds golden highlights to make-up or hair care, gives rinse-off applications a noble touch or provides sparkling topping effects.
“It is the perfect partner for transparent jelly nail trends, which can already be achieved in very low concentrations,” the company said.
“Thanks to patented technologies, the controlled narrow particle size fraction results in a very pure and strong colour intensity,” it added.
