Cosmetics Cluster UK (CCUK) has teamed up with the British Chemicals Association (BCA) and Society of Cosmetic Scientists (SCS) to hold two personal care events this autumn.
On 28 September, Cranage Hall in Cheshire hosts ‘The Future Is Green – but what does it mean?’, which will explore the challenges ahead for the cosmetics and wider chemical industry in relation to climate change.
“Leading industry speakers will give their expert insight, starting with a keynote on what the world should look like by 2030 and how the EU Green Deal lays down a vision for Europe. We investigate certifications for green products but also how not to fall into greenwashing traps,” a spokeswoman said.
“Post lunch we take a look at raw materials from natural sources and the challenges they pose, followed by a key ingredient supplier showing their journey and what lies ahead,” she added.
On 4 October, the same Cheshire venue will host the ‘Developing and Marketing Cosmetic Ingredients’ training course.
This course is for those wishing to enter into the cosmetics manufacturing market with new or transitioning ingredients, or are new to a role and need a ‘one-stop shop’ for a basic introduction to the rules and regulations, from experts John Hibbs and Amanda Isom.
