German active ingredient supplier Symrise has won the 2022 Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW) Supplier’s Award: Ingredients & Formulation for its SymHair Thermo product.
The award was presented by the New York Society of Cosmetic Chemists at CEW’s 29th annual Beauty Creators Awards in Manhattan.
SymHair Thermo combines three different saccharides: α-glucan which comes from the Polyporus umbrellatus mushroom; hyaluronic acid; and fructose.
The product is designed to protect the hair against damage caused by heat tools and also protects the hair against the humidity.

“This award matters because it showcases the next generation of ingredients and formulas that are key to creating beautiful, safe, and efficacious products,” said Eileen Kim, head of the US innovation and research process team at Chanel, and one of this year’s judges.
“It celebrates the work of suppliers to push the industry forward,” she added.
CEW is a nonprofit, professional organization with more than 10,500+ members globally, both men and women, from over 3,500 companies in the beauty and retail industries.
