Lubrizol Life Science Beauty (LLS Beauty) is celebrating the tenth anniversary of its acquisition of Lipotec, a Barcelona-based producer of cosmetic active ingredients.
At the time of purchase in 2012, Lubrizol enhanced its existing personal care portfolio of formulated skin care solutions with the active ingredients Lipotec specializes in, including anti-aging peptide Argireline.
The acquisition also further developed Lubrizol’s speed-to-market capabilities with an Accelerator Program, which enables brands to go from concept briefing to custom shelf-ready products at speed.
“Today, Lipotec is the umbrella brand for active ingredients within the company, expanding beyond skin care into colour cosmetics, hair care, scalp care and even rinse off formulated solutions,” said a Lubrizol spokeswoman.
“This expansion, combined with LLS Beauty’s anticipation of consumer needs, while prioritizing innovation and sustainability, has resulted in innovative ingredient solutions designed to enhance functional performance and deliver aesthetic benefits that help people to live a more beautiful life,” she added.
