Seppic says its reinventing skincare formulation with Emul’SMART Technology to create minimalist products with different textures and sensoriality.
Emul’SMART Technology offers customisable textures using only three ingredients: Easynov, Sepinov EMT 10 and Emogreen C69.
Easynov (INCI Name: Octyldodecanol & Octyldodecyl Xyloside & PEG-30 Dipolyhydroxystearate) is a 94% bio-based liquid water-in-oil emulsifier which can work with cold or hot processes.
It emulsifies all types of oil for light, fluid or thick textures and easy-to-spread, soft, non-sticky emulsions.
A cornerstone of Seppic’s patented Geltrap concept, Easynov can be used to formulate W/O emulsions that are extra-rich in water, with a feel that is both fresh and cushiony.
Sepinov EMT 10 (INCI name: Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer) is a universal thickening, stabilizing and texturizing powder polymer.
It is non microplastic and is inherently biodegradable, and can work with cold or hot processes and provide sprayable fluid to thick textures with fresh and satin-like skin feel.
Emogreen C69 (INCI name: C15-19 Alkane & Coco/Caprylate Caprate) is a bio-based, readily biodegradable multifunctional emollient.
It wraps the skin in a soft, comfortable and powdery veil. It is also an excellent sensory alternative to dimethicone oil, says Seppic.
“In times of uncertainty, consumers crave for a sense of control over their lives. They feel that they should lead and direct the pack of brands to their specific needs and wants,” it adds.
“They prefer a simple and minimalist approach where less is more. They go for products that contain a minimal number of ingredients that are safe but still give the efficacy they promise.”
