Zschimmer & Schwarz has sold Italian personal care product distributor Bregaglio to 2M of the United Kingdom.
Bregaglio had been part of the Zschimmer & Schwarz Group since 2008 and is an established distributor for the personal care industry in Europe, with Italy as its core market.
With its well-known brand name and technical expertise, Bregaglio complements the Surfachem Group, which is part of 2M, and strengthens the company’s Europe-wide life sciences distribution.
2M plans to support Bregaglio’s further growth through innovation for the benefit of its customers and suppliers.
“We have full alignment with the culture and values of Bregaglio and its current parent company, Zschimmer & Schwarz, with whom we will retain a close commercial relationship” said Mottie Kessler OBE, chairman and CEO of 2M.
“In addition, we will support Bregaglio’s continued growth through innovation for the benefit of its customers and suppliers,” he added.
The addition of Bregaglio to the 2M enables it to offer a pan European service to its life science customers and suppliers, the company said.
The value of the transaction was not disclosed.
