Advanced TiO2 product

Kemira Specialty Inc has announced its newest pigmentary titanium dioxide (TiO2) product, Kemira AC360.

TiO2 is widely used in the industry as a white pigment, due to its superior brightness and high refractive index characteristics.

AC360 is an alumina-silane treated pigmentary dioxide. White, opaque and extremely pure, it offers improved colour characteristics for a greater range of use.

“Developed for colour cosmetic formulations with high hydrophobicity, Kemira AC360 imparts opacity, whiteness and depth of colour for the creation of elegant, high-end formulations,” said Heli Aro, application manager – Cosmetic Segment, Kemira Specialty.

Due to its ease of dispersibility in oils, AC360 will impart long-lasting colour to products such as lipsticks, eye shadows, powders and foundations.

“AC360 is non-irritating, offering richer colour to formulations and enhanced colour stability,” said Heli Aro. The ultimate result is an improved skin feel compared to untreated pigments in final formulations.
