Together with StitchCrew, an organisation for early-stage entrepreneurs, BASF’s US subsidiary has launched the Inclusive Beauty Accelerator. This is aimed at “early-stage companies in the personal care and beauty space committed to creating innovative and inclusive products”.
Applicants must come from an underrepresented background and/or be at least 50% minority owned, with a physical product available to sell. They must also be based in the US. Application opens on 14 March and will close on 7 April.
This will enable participants to present, refine and scale their business plan to bring beauty products to market, with some receiving a $10,000 non-dilutive grant and gaining hands-on coaching from industry executives. At the end, they will have the opportunity to showcase their products to investors and to StitchCrew’s and BASF’s networks.
