More details have been released about two of the key elements of In-Cosmetics Global: Sustainability Corner and the Technical Seminars.
Both will take place during this year’s show in Paris on 5-7 April. The programmes will also be available during virtual follow-up event from 11-22 April where attendees can watch sessions on-demand. Among the highlights at Sustainability Corner addressing the ‘circular beauty’ challenge will be presentations from the following:
- Mathilde Omnes, global sustainability manager at Lubrizol Life Science, on why ingredients and solutions must be designed, sourced, produced and used responsibly to achieve true circularity
- Bénédicte Sennelier-Portet, R&D manager for green fractionation at Givaudan Active Beauty, discussing the firm’s approach to circular beauty, which is based on the three pillars of upcycling, waste-free design, and full valorisation of plants
- Alessandra Adduci, product manager at Roelmi HPC, presenting four new products: Olifeel ingredients derived from non-edible olive fractions; Cytofruit Waters BIO99 life-enriched waters from inner plant phytonutrients; Celus-BI Feel biodegradable alternative to microplastics; and BeauSens® lightweight emollient ester, O/W emulsifiers and mild surfactants.
- Emily Thomas, corporate sustainability manager at CP Kelco, on how brand owners can meet sustainability goals without compromising the consumer experience through a holistic approach to sustainability
- Inès Duvillier, product manager at Laboratoires Expanscience, on how the cosmetics industry is offering more naturality and simplicity while retaining efficiency
- Ophélie Bourgon, marketing manager at Roquette Beauté, on the importance of more clarity and using agricultural waste as raw materials
There will be over 80 live technical seminars, featuring a wide range of topics, such as hyperpigmentation, clean beauty, the impact of natural actives on contemporary stress and the use of ‘zoopharmacognosy’ to discover new molecules. Sustainability is also high on the agenda here. Highlights include:
- Cristina Carreño, global new business development director for active ingredients at Lubrizol Life Science, introducing a biotechnological extract that counteracts the negative effects of stress on telocytes
- Mauro Riccaboni, sales and hydrocolloids product manager for personal care at Lamberti on the Esaflor Zero-X technology, which is designed to obtain a cationic guar for personal care use
- Matthias Kunze, technical marketing manager at Lanxess Distribution, introducing a multifunctional, synergistic, green surfactant that creates a creamy and long-lasting foam
