Courage + Khazaka has updated the software for its DandruffMeter DA 20, an imaging device to quickly evaluate dandruff collected from the scalp onto a petri dish.
The company said that the new software “is easy to navigate and facilitates the daily work". Dandruff is classified by number and size in both pixels and mm² for up to nine different size categories which can be determined by the user. Each is displayed in a different colour, that the user can click on to see only the respective category. Further features include:
- Zooming in and out of the image for details
- Preset options for fine, medium and large dandruff
- The possibility of defining categories, which can be saved and exported
- An average of up to six images is automatically calculated
- The software conveniently allows evaluation of complete studies
- Illustrated and intuitive calibration of the system
