Arkema to boost oleochemicals

Arkema has announces a 50% global capacity expansion for its Oleris range of advanced biomaterials at its previously announced major bio-factory, which is currently under construction on Jurong Island in Singapore. This is due to start in mid-2022

The expansion will affect n-heptanoic acid, n-heptaldehyde, undecylenic acid and Esterol A, which Arkema supplies to the cosmetics and fragrances markets, among other. These are 100% derived from renewable castor seeds and are claimed to have a carbon-neutral footprint, high purity, broad compliance and technical quality.
