The latest edition of NYSCC Suppliers’ Day in New York on 10-11 November brought in over 6,800 registrants eager to meet over 380 exhibitors across 7,000 m2 of exhibit space
The lifting of travel restrictions meant that visitors from 30 countries on every continent were able to attend.
Suppliers’ Day ‘Virtual Month of Beauty’ began on 12 November and will continue for a month. Next year, the in-person event will return to its usual slot in May.
“Exhibitors and attendees alike were energised by the look, feel and size of the show as well as the number of people who attended – and most importantly with the high quality of attendees who were present,” said Susanna Fernandes, chair of the NYSCC.
Key features appearing for the first time included the first ever Indie360 Programme, with panels and pavilions aimed at spotlighting newer companies using unique ingredients and formulations, plus a ‘Clean & Natural Beauty’ panel, ‘Back to Powerful Beauty’ with Peclers Paris, IBA’s regulatory and compliance programme and a special presentation on conscious inclusion from Shakira Brown.
Returning from previous years, among other things were: the presentation theatre sessions, with tracks on green beauty, sustainability and certification, and the global marketplace; the Future Chemists Workshop, where college students from across the US competed in mini-challenges for the best formulation; the Digital Age of Beauty; Fragrance: The Invisible Art; and the NYSCC Education & Awards Night event.
