Seppic has launched its Sepiplus K rheology modifier globally. This follows an initial launch a year ago in Asia, since when it has won Ringier Technology Innovation Award in China for its high performance and cold-processability
Sepiplus K, the firm said, is designed both for high application performance and to “give a touch of sensory elegance to particularly demanding formulations such as minimalist formulas or those compliant with Clean Beauty”. It is free of ethylene oxide, solvents and preservatives, and requires very little energy for formulation.
Supplied as a concentrated inverse emulsion that is not considered to be a microplastic, Sepiplus K is pre-neutralised and efficient in the pH range from 3 to 12. According to Seppic, it provides high performance in terms of thickening, oil stabilising and resistance to electrolytes, while imparting a silicone-like gliding skin feel with a non-tacky and non-sticky finish.
