Under a new agreement, Biesterfeld Spezialchemie is to distribute silicones from specialist manufacturer CHT for the personal care segment across the whole of Europe, including Russia and Turkey, with immediate effect. Both companies are headquartered in Germany.
Eva Baumann, head of business field general industries in the EMEA region commented that Biesterfeld “has not only an excellent market presence but also a high level of technical expertise, which represents real added value for customers, especially when it comes to creating and optimising their formulations”.
The CHT-BeauSil range includes elastomers, aminofunctional silicones, emulsifiers, waxes and gum blends, as well as two silicones modified from sugar cane and the cyclopentasiloxane alternative CHT-BeauSil Fluid 830, which is a blend of natural ingredients and a caprylyl methicone. CHT also offers custom formulations.
