Spanish firm Iberchem is using the Beautyworld Middle East 2021 show in Dubai on 5-7 October to present ARomatic, which it described “as an experiment that blends the world of fragrance with that of interactive technology”.

Each of the four fragrances in the project has been paired with a dedicated ‘augmented reality experience’ that illustrates the perfumer’s inspiration when creating the fragrance. All this was developed in collaboration with IDEA Ingeniería, an agency specialising in new technology and 4.0 digital transformation.

“ARomatic gives fragrances a visual dimension, one that is otherwise invisible to the naked eye,” said Guillaume Audy, Iberchem’s communication director. The main objective is to demonstrate the potential that new technology has for the perfume industry. So far, very few brands or companies in the sector have explored this combination.”
