French fragrance and ingredients firm Robertet has acquired a majority stake in its compatriot Astier Demarest. Terms were not disclosed but François and Bruno Destoumieux, from the family that owned Astier Demarest, will remain as leaders.
Based in Grasse at the heart of the fragance ingredients region of southern France, Astier Demarest specialises in the sourcing and distribution of raw materials for perfumery, cosmetics, aromatherapy and food flavourings, which will be added to Robertet’s range of natural and organic products.
“This investment reaffirms the group’s determination to remain the world leader in aromatic ingredients and strengthens our competitive edge in sustainable sourcing of natural products with a reinforced presence at the source of strategic products for our industry,” Robertet stated.
