Floratech becomes ISO cGMP compliant

Floratech, a leading global raw material supplier of botanically derived ingredients to the cosmetic/personal care industry, has announced the completion of an internal initiative to become compliant with ISO Cosmetic Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).

In November last year, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) published the guidelines ISO International Standard (22716) for Cosmetics – Guidelines on Good Manufacturing Practices.

The document provides guidelines for the production, control, storage, shipment and quality aspects of cosmetic products. Carl Geffken Consultants conducted Floratech’s assessment in accordance with the newly published guidelines.

Historically, Floratech was the first jojoba processing facility to become ISO:9001 compliant (in 1996), and later ISO 9001:2000 compliant.

“As Floratech continues to grow to meet its global customer needs, the organisation will retain a leadership role in maintaining quality compliance of its products and services consistent with the highest standards of quality within the industry,” James H. Brown, president and co-founder of Floratech, stated.
