Sumitomo acquires 20% stake in Presperse

As a result of the partnership, SCOA will own a 20% minority interest in Presperse LLC. Presperse, under the leadership of Greg Torchiana (president), will continue its focus on major product areas including: Permethyl specialty hydrocarbons, PresPearls, mineral powders, micronised waxes, spherical powders, marine active ingredients, physical sunscreens, botanical actives, and pearlescent pigments.

Investment being made will strengthen Presperse’s research and development capability as a creative formulator and innovator of new functional ingredients in the areas of sun care, makeup, skin care and hair care applications.

Together, Presperse and SCOA will continue to bring to the cosmetic and personal care industry innovative raw materials from Europe, Japan, US, Asia, Mexico and other parts of the globe while upholding the highest standards of customer service and quality.
