Waking up the sleeping beauty

When the beauty of our skin falls asleep, we all need the kiss of a prince charming to wake it up. This is where the story of our new active ingredient, Dermagenistâ„¢, starts. The beauty of our skin is a heritage that is submitted to our lifestyle.

Life is full of adventures and surprises and many of our experiences make it fun. But with time passing by, our beauty fades. Our lifestyle slowly tires our skin cells that progressively fall deeply asleep, and then the first signs of ageing appear. So, our goal was to understand how individual lifestyles influence the conditions and needs of human skin, and to develop ingredients that can reprogram our skin cells.

To achieve this, epigenetics is our strongest ally. It is the key to understanding gene modulation and stimulating the activity of genes that have an influence on the longevity of the skin. To further explore the field of epigenetics, our research teams joined forces and established an interdisciplinary innovation platform. Together with experts from public and private research institutions we wanted to explore how changes to our genes caused by the chronological ageing process or environmental factors can be mapped and precisely controlled. Our new launch Dermagenist  harnesses our findings on epigenetics: It is the first active ingredient that re-activates fibroblasts by protecting them from epigenetic modifications and by stimulating their vitality.
