Active peptide reverses effects of ageing

Laboratories Sérobiologiques has launched Syniorage LS 9748, an active peptide which reverses the effects of ageing.

It acts on the two constituents of the epidermis that are primarily responsible for its cohesion, thereby helping to enhance the appearance of the skin and restore its radiance, resistance and firmness.

There are two types of molecule that determine the epidermal ageing process. Syndecan-1 is a small proteoglycan, and as its production diminishes with age, the result is a lack of cohesion within the epidermis. Collagen XVII is a protein that occurs in the hemidesmosomes, a microscopic rivet-like structure that affects the strength of the bond between the epidermis and the dermoepidermal junction.

Syniorage LS 9748 is a ready-to-use hydro-glycerinated tetrapeptide solution that helps to rejunvenate the epidermis and restore its cohension and resistance. By stimulating the synthesis of syndecan-1 and collagen XVII, the ingredient enhances skin elasticity and firmness, thus improving its resistance and radiance. Syniorage can be incorporated in anti-ageing face creams and various other products for mature skin.
