Helping skin recover firmness and tone

Some cutaneous functions of importance are governed by periodical variations according to day and night rhythms. During daylight, the skin boosts diverse protective functions with regard to environmental threats. At night, the skin increases its renewal and regeneration metabolic processes. Calcium is known to play a preponderant role in cell metabolism and there is awareness that the cell has an intracellular pathway for releasing the calcium stored in the reticulum. The latter contributes to “waking up the cell”. The efficacy of Chronodyn was conducted on a group of 21 women with an average age of 44 and with moderate sagging of the cheeks. Applied twice daily was a cream containing 3% Chronodyn to one half of the face and a placebo to the other half. After one month, the skin treated with the cream containing Chronodyn was three times firmer and four times more toned compared to that treated with the placebo product.
