Dow Corning launches Second Skin concept

Dow Corning has introduced a collection of skin care and colour cosmetic formulation concepts designed to make skin seem healthier, protect it from the elements, or add glamour.

“Our new Experience the Difference: Second Skin will help formulators to provide options for consumers who want to express themselves through their appearance and protect themselves with their personal care products,” said Eriko Sakurai, global industry director for marketing, Dow Corning Life Sciences Business. “The concepts include creams that help to protect the skin from harmful environmental elements, as well as provide nutrients and hydration for a healthy, radiant glow; make-up for the face and body that transforms your look instantly; and emulsions that exhilarate the skin and excite the senses.”

The new formulations include In & Out 893. Enriched with vitamins and a low concentration of self-tanning agents, this cream protects the skin against daily stress and leaves it moisture-balanced and luminous, for a youthful appearance. Breathe 894 has been formulated for men’s skin and is a cooling hydrogel. The oil-free, noncomedogenic formula can be used to hydrate and control excess sebum. Potion Emotion 895 is a light, easy-to-apply, massaging emulsion with a sensual fragrance. Arctic Defense 896 is a rich cream incorporating a unique combination of natural ingredients and technologies that will guard skin against aggressive weather and provide a pleasant fragrance. Triple Effects 897 is a long-lasting, irridescent product can be used with make-up for eyes, lips and cheeks. Spice of the Orient 898 is a whipped body make-up soufflé which leaves skin feeling soothed. Perfectly Legs 899 is a spray-on formulation that gives a long-lasting, transfer-resistant, tanned appearance.
