Value of Solarine III highlighted by Greentech

Benefits of Solarine III are being emphasised by Greentech.

Concentrated in vitamins and polyunsaturated fatty acids, the Solarine III product is the result of the synergistic activity of sea buckthorn, Voacanga and Wild Rose.

UVs stimulate an increase in the number of melanocytes and induce the melanin production which is directly responsible for tanning. The product is characterised by the presence of fatty acids such a palmitic and stearic acid which are well-known as fatty acids that stimulate melanin synthesis (Hideya et al, 2004). Once pigmentation is stimulated, skin is better protected against UV. Therefore, Solarine III appears to be good for sun preparations, Greentech states.

In addition, the product has a screening effect allowing its use as a booster for sunscreen filters. At 5%, it allows the increasing of absorption of Parsol MCX by 70% at a wavelength of 300 nm (UVB).

Thanks to its content of carotenoids and tocopherols, the product appears to be good for after-sun skin repair.

Carotenoids allow the prevention of inflammation linked to sunburn and then the reduction of free radical formation generated by UV.

All these compounds provide anti-inflammatory properties in cases of burns. Tocopherols limit lipidic peroxidation and decrease inflammation by reducing the interleukins production (IL6). Moreover, they limit the skin drying process caused by the water loss arising after sun exposure.

Due to polyunsaturated fatty acids and, more particularly, to linoleic and linolenic acids, which are essential, Solarine III has nourishing and protective properties. The product contributes to the maintenance of skin lipidic and hydric balance.
