The Society of Cosmetic Scientists has packed SCS Formulate with more content than ever before. From 11-12 November 2014 at the Ricoh Arena, visitors will be able to take advantage of 26+ hours of content.
The programme is split across three elements – Knowledge, Source and Formulation Masterclasses – each one is crammed with content offering alternative perspectives in creating and developing personal care products.
SCS Formulate offers every visitor (no matter what their experience) clear, concise, relevant information that can be applied in the work place and used to develop innovative and market leading personal care and cosmetic products.
Alongside the seminar programme is an exhibition featuring the ingredients, raw materials and services of 270 companies (the largest it has ever been). The exhibition provides visitors the opportunity to see the new, the innovative, the proven, the everyday and the obscure – everything you need to create, make and market cosmetics for today and tomorrow.

The Source programme
The Source is a series of free-to-attend presentations featuring the latest ingredients, services and techniques within the personal care and cosmetic industry. Featuring 65+ presentations covering a wide range of applications from waxes to anti-ageing, hair care to preservatives, the Source is your chance to hear about the latest innovations and developments directly from the people developing them.
The Knowledge
Created by the UK Society of Cosmetic Scientists, the Knowledge features experts and authorities tackling a stimulating range of technical and commercial issues affecting formulators today.
Attendees will have the opportunity to enhance formulation techniques, learn about the latest and future trends, and get advice on the regulatory and scientific issues in the market place.
The Formulation Masterclasses
Taking place within the exhibition, the masterclasses are a series of free-to-attend presentations focusing on the formulation of different applications.
The Formulation Masterclass presentations will focus on a specific topic, detailing the common issues formulators may face when formulating their products. Going on to explore different techniques and processes that can be used to help overcome formulation issues and help create the desired formulations.
The Exhibition
With 270 companies represented, the exhibition is your comprehensive guide to the cosmetic and personal care industry. Over the two days you will be able to find every conceivable ingredient, raw material and other vital tool of your trade used in creating innovative cosmetic and personal care products.

Registration for SCS Formulate is now open. Registration for the Exhibition, The Source and the Formulation Masterclasses are free to attend. The Knowledge is also free for all members of the UK Society of Cosmetic Scientists if registered by 7 November (there is a small fee of £90+VAT for non-members).

The Ricoh Arena, Coventry is set within a site covering more than 40 acres, the Ricoh Arena is unlike any other development of its kind in the UK.
