A technical breakthrough in sulfate-free surfactant chemistry, Innospec’s Iselux (Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate) range has been an innovative addition to the personal care market.
Overcoming many of the performance deficiencies traditionally associated with sulfatefree formulation, the ultra-mild range enables the creation of crystal clear or opaque liquid and structured personal care products, which are exceptionally rich and gentle on the skin and hair.
Developed through the extensive knowledge and expertise of Innospec’s application team, the latest additions to the Iselux range are simple-touse and performance-optimised surfactant concentrates. One of the new high performance concentrates, Iselux SLC is a cold-processable sulfate-free surfactant blend which easily and cost-effectively forms elegant, skin-kind structured liquid systems.
Iselux SLC enables the incorporation of high levels of otherwise incompatible ingredients, such as oils and silicones, without compromising foam volume or quality. The unique rheology of structured formulations containing Iselux SLC also allows for the creation of exciting visual effects, such as layering different coloured phases, as well as suspending beads, glitter or other solid particles.
Iselux SLC can be used in formulations for shower gels, shampoos and skin cleansers where the incorporation of additives is required for visual or performance benefits.
