The 2013 SCSS Suppliers’ Day held at Mandarin Orchard Hotel on 2 August was a great success. There were more than 130 participants from Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, China and the US in attendance.
Thus, a higher turnout compared to last year’s event. This reflects the stronger commitment of its members and guests to continuously support the society over the years. The technical conference has also been very informative with guest speakers showcasing not only new ingredients and their key benefits, but also some marketing concepts. The delegates were also able to discuss one-on-one with the exhibitors at their respective table top displays. These include Ajinomoto, AMA Laboratories, Ashland, Campo Research, Croda SG, Dow Chemicals (Rohm & Hass SG), DSM Nutritional Products, Evonik, HallStar, PT.Indokemika Jayatama, Lipotec, Lubrizol, Lucas Meyer, Nardev, Nikko Chemicals, Seppic and Technico Flor. Also, during the event, Mr Andrew Gan, Mr Philip Jacobs and Ms Angelina Fam were recognised and awarded with a momento for their outstanding contributions, as past president, past chairman of scientific committee and past secretary respectively, to the society for the past four years.
