A new clinical study has been conducted by Lipotec to assess the anti-wrinkle efficacy of Argireline peptide at a concentration of 2%.
The new test shows remarkable improvement of skin appearance after just one week of treatment. The test was performed on a panel of 24 female volunteers aged 35 to 45 years old, who applied a cream containing the peptide on half of the face, especially on the crow’s feet area, and a placebo cream on the other half, twice daily.
Skin topography was quantitatively evaluated after measurements by FOITS (Fast Optical In vivo Topometry of human Skin) technique at the beginning and at the end of the treatment. At the end of the 7 days treatment, values showed a statistically significant decrease in the average volume and length of the wrinkles by 20.6% and 15.9%, respectively, with a cream containing 2% Argireline peptide solution C.
Innovations at SCS Formulate
New innovations fight the main hallmarks of aged skin, such as wrinkles and sagginess, while reducing DNA damage accumulation. The genetic code contains the inherited information that is responsible for cellular longevity. Hence, the need to preserve DNA integrity.
Juvefoxo peptide mimics the activity of transcriptional factor FOXO3a, which is involved in the repair, renewal and longevity of the cells, and has proven efficacy in reverting cellular senescence. Its DNA-repair properties have been tested in vitro and in vivo with a statistically significant reduction of UV-induced DNA damage after 6 h of treatment with a cream with 2% Juvefoxo peptide solution.
Skin firmness is clearly enhanced with Uplevity peptide at 2%. It acts in several directions targeting key proteins to the assembly of functional elastin and to cellular cohesion to Extracellular Matrix via focal adhesions. Lipstick lines visible reduced by 16.5% after just 1 week applying a cream with 2% Seacode marine ingredient. Obtained through biotechnology, it enhances the synthesis of essential dermal proteins, contributing to ameliorating skin structural properties.
