Cognis has acquired polymer specialist Cosmetic Rheologies to enhance its position as a full-range specialities supplier to the cosmetics industry.
At the Personal Care Ingredients Asia event recently held in Seoul, Korea, Cognis Care Chemicals and its active ingredients business Laboratoires Sérobiologiques exhibited a number of new products and concepts.
Each was an example of Cognis’ belief that wellbeing products should provide a holistic experience incorporating four key dimensions: perception, feel, effect and usage.
At its PCIA stand, and in several lectures during the event, were presented innovative products and solutions including Emulgade NLB and Cetiol CC, two elements in a new roll-on system; Lamesoft Care, a multifunctional wax dispersion product for skin and hair conditioning; Plantapon SF, an exceptionally mild surfactant blend for body cleansing; and two new actives for eye contour care – Eye Resolution, which combats the bags that appear below eyes, and Active Powder Eye Light, which acts against the dark rings that can form around them.
