Bud extracts developed

Jan Dekker International has developed a new organic cosmetic range of plant extracts – “Les concentrés de vie” or “GemmoBlasts”.

This range of bud extracts is the first offering in a new innovative platform of products. The company states that production is French with organic certification by Ecocert. Harvesting respects the ecosystem, and animals are not involved in the testing process.

Jan Dekker has selected and patented four plant species with different cosmetic activities. Buds have been subjected to strict in-vitro and in-vivo evaluation and show a clear and demonstrable efficacy. GemmoSlim, made from buds of the common fig (Ficus carica), is an active for slimming; and GemmoDrain, made from buds of a mountain ash tree species (Sorbus domestica), is an active for activating blood circulation.

GemmoRegule, made from buds of the wayfaring tree (Viburnum lantana), is an active for the prevention of skin reactivity; while GemmoCalm, made from buds of the European blackcurrant (Ribes nigrum) is an active for treating skin damage. Jan Dekker says that the new cosmetic concept of Gemmotherapy utilises the benefits of air, sun and earth energy for concentrating flavonoids and specific constituents of the particular plant into the bud. Some molecules are more concentrated in buds than in developed plants, and some molecules are sometimes only ever present in buds.
