Globally compliant additives offered

The ANGUS Chemical Company has developed a family of globally compliant additives for the personal care and cosmetics industry.

The company says that the additives are designed to meet new product safety requirements set by the European Cosmetics Directive 76/768/EEC and that their use does not require costly formulation changes for customers.

Introduced in Europe in 2005, and now available globally, the ULTRA PC product portfolio includes AMP-ULTRA PC neutralising amine (2-Amino-2- Methyl-1-Propanol) for hair and personal care, TRIS AMINO ULTRA PC buffer (Tromethamine) for skin care, and AMPD ULTRA PC buffer for eye care products.

AMP-ULTRA PC neutralising amine and TRIS AMINO ULTRA PC buffer provide excellent performance advantages and benefits as neutralising agents, offering first rate colour stability and primary amine functionality. A drop-in equivalent to AMPD neutralising amine, AMPD ULTRA PC buffer offers effective buffering and excellent colour stability, making it an optimal neutraliser for eye care products. “With AMP-ULTRA PC and other new formulation solutions, ANGUS can service personal care companies with globally compliant amino alcohols for a wide range of personal care and cosmetics products,” said Liam Doherty, ANGUS global marketing manager. “In creating product equivalents that assure global compliance, we’re solving the challenges presented to our customers by providing quality chemicals that meet industry standards and are easy to incorporate into existing formulations.”
