Shake, Shower & Shave

A 2-phase body cleanser with two distinct layers. A visually appealing, 2-phase body cleanser than can be also fit into the male grooming and baby category due to it’s mild nature. This ‘shake before use’ body cleanser creates mild foam and is suitable for all the family. This 2-phase body cleanser uses Iselux® LQ-CLR-SB, a unique surfactant from Innospec that is 80% naturally derived and offers gentle but effective cleansing. Formulated with mild, sulfate-free surfactants.

Preparation:

1. Combine glycerin and aqua then slowly add Condicare PQ10-4 and mix until all powder is dispersed and clear (A). 2. Begin heating to 45 - 50°C. 3. Slowly add Maltodextrin (B) and mix until fully dissolved. 4. Add Iselux® LQ-CLR-SB (C) and mix until uniform. 5. Add Empigen® BS/FA (D) and mix until uniform. 6. Remove from heat. 7. When below 40°C add phase. 8. Add fragrance and dye and mix until fully emulsified. 9. Adjust pH to 5.5 - 6.0 with 50% w/w citric acid solution. 10. Dispense formulation into bottles with mixing to avoid phase separation prior to filling.

Notes:

Shake well before use and apply to wet skin in the shower. Lather up on the skin and rinse with water. Appearance: Clear multi-phase liquid: clear blue phase ~50% volume, clear colorless phase ~50% volume pH: 5.5 - 6.0 (mix well immediately before measuring). Viscosity*: 300 – 600 cps (mix well immediately before measuring). Stability: Passed 12 weeks at 45ºC, 20ºC and 5ºC and 3 F/T cycles *Brookfield RVT @ 20rpm, 20ºC, #3 spindle A
