Vantage Specialty Ingredients, formerly Lipo Chemicals, is the personal care unit of Vantage Specialty Chemicals, offering a wide array of specialty, basic, and naturally derived ingredient solutions to marketers of formulated skin and hair care products.

Founded in 1962 and acquired by Vantage Specialty Chemicals in 2010, Vantage s is a leading supplier of ingredients to the global personal care industry. At that time Vantage also acquired Ruger Chemical, a global full-line supplier and repackager of active and excipient ingredients to the pharmaceutical industry. In 2012, Vantage purchased The Desert Whale Jojoba Company, the largest US grower and producer of Jojoba, under the Lipo brand.

Driven by new product development, the Personal Care unit is focused on green and natural ingredients providing real value and driving customer brand loyalty through formulation, technology and marketing. Headquartered in Warren, NJ, the Personal Care division has offices in 13 countries, as well as a distribution network covering five continents and over 60 countries.
