in-cosmetics Asia returns to Bangkok from 2-4 November for the eighth instalment of this leading personal care ingredients show. It follows on from last year’s success when 4,691 visitors attended, beating all previous show records.
Asia’s personal care market is one of the fastest growing – by 2014 it is forecasted to increase by 17%, providing a great backdrop for in-cosmetics Asia 2011. For the first time in the show’s history the organisers have secured a special collaboration with the International Federation of the Societies of Cosmetic Chemists (IFSCC) partnered with the Society of Cosmetic Chemists Thailand (SCCT) for their respective events. The technical conference, traditionally held at in-cosmetics, will now transfer to the IFSCC from 31 October – 2 November 2011 and the IFSCC ingredients exhibition will be hosted exclusively at in-cosmetics Asia. “Beauty Week in Bangkok” will begin on October 31 with the IFSCC Conference and Exhibition of Beauty and Wellness at The Centara Grand and Convention Center Bangkok. The theme of the Conference for this year is the “3Es: Effective, Economic and Ecological cosmetics” and the programme will include workshops and scientific seminars led by some of the industry’s most revered experts. Then in-cosmetics Asia exhibition will open its doors on the 2 November, located once again in Halls 101 and 102 at BITEC. Cathy Laporte, in-cosmetics Asia group marketing manager said: “We’re the only pan-Asian show for the personal care ingredients market, and with the IFSCC conference taking place in the same week, we’re expecting record audiences this year. “Cosmetic manufacturers, formulators, scientists and sales and marketing experts working in the industry should take this unique opportunity to reach the whole of Asia in one trip – promoting their brand and latest products, identifying suppliers and forging new partnerships.” Dr Panvipa Krisdaphong, the president of SCCT and chairman of IFSCC 2011 Conference Organising Committee added: “This is Thailand’s first time hosting the IFSCC Conference and it’s an honour to show our genuine dedication and boundless effort to make this event successful. We are delighted to be inviting everyone to attend the IFSCC 2011 conference and hear our expert guest speakers and experience Thai culture on the side.”
Introduced for the first time at in-cosmetics Asia 2010, the Innovation Zone proved to be a great success with visitors and exhibitors alike. Taking centre stage at this year’s show, the feature will highlight exciting new product launches and cutting-edge innovation. Last year the zone housed new raw materials from the likes of Bioland, Croda, DSM, Lubrizol, Mibelle Biochemistry, Regeron, Thor Personal Care and Unipex, plus a mix of prestige and mass market beauty and grooming products sourced by Mintel Beauty Innovation.
Free-to-attend Innovation Seminars will also see a range of industry experts and professionals presenting their latest ingredients and formulation techniques.
