Sederma has launched Juvinity to fight against signs of ageing due to cell senescence. Juvinity, based on a complex lipid derived from a key molecule in the cell functionality, constitutes a new cell protection strategy in order to delay both nucleus and metabolic senescence.
In vitro tests have shown it reduces oxidative stress (production of intracellular peroxides reduced by 85%) and limits telomere (DNA) shortening to ensure optimal replication as a young cell. It also rebalances the mitochondrial activity, promotes ATP synthesis (+76%) and protects the cytoskeleton. The extracellular matrix metabolism is then reactivated: +483% of collagen synthesis, +32% of decorin synthesis and +33% of hyaluronic acid synthesis. In vivo tests have shown that Juvinity helps reduce visible signs of ageing on the face and décolleté. It smoothes the wrinkles, restructures and redensifies the skin. After one month of treatment, wrinkle depth is decreased by 26.5%. Eighty per cent of the panel considered their skin less creased and much firmer after a two-month treatment.
