UK-based Oat Cosmetics launched in June 2010 to provide a new source of active natural cosmetic ingredients to the cosmetics and personal care industry. It will focus on fully traceable products from renewable resources and is working in partnership with Canadian biotech company Ceapro Inc., which since its start up in 1997 has achieved a reputation as an innovative formulator and advanced processor of active ingredients, botanical extracts and therapeutic products.
Oat Cosmetics launches with two products, OC Oat Oil and CP Oat Avenanthramide Extract, and three further products plus a range of formulations will launch in autumn 2010. “We are committed to providing the industry with a range that ticks all the boxes and have been painstaking in our efforts to present ourselves in a way in which scientists and new product development teams find helpful,” says managing director, Cark Maunsell. “This is just the start; our aim is to launch a significant innovation at least annually.
