Rhodia is introducing a range of products particularly suitable for designing eco-friendly hair and skin care formulations, meeting consumer expectations for natural and sustainable products.
The company has evaluated the sustainability profile of its personal care product ranges using several criteria:
• Vegetable and renewable carbon content.
• Biodegradability and impact on the environment.
• Exclusion of ingredients (free of dioxane, parabens, formaldehyde, EDTA, sulphate, and preservatives).
• Compliance with eco-labels (ingredients suitable for ECOCERT, Natural Product Association and Whole Foods formulations).
Without compromising performance, Rhodia’s solutions – based on anionic, amphoteric and performance concentrate surfactants and natural polymers – enable formulators to leverage sustainability claims in multiple cleansing and conditioning products. The launch of Rhodapex ESB-70 NAT, a unique petrochemical-free SLES surfactant approved by ECOCERT, illustrates Rhodia’s commitment to provide formulators with sustainable solutions. “At Rhodia, we believe that sustainability is more than operating in a sustainable manner everyday, it is also a key driver for innovation,” commented Sébastien Méric, vice president, home and personal care, Rhodia.
