Bruno Baroux, the director of Greensea (Mèze, France), passed away on 19 December after a long 10-year battle against illness. Throughout this period he managed the company, one of the first to produce microalgae, and developed many new products.
His greatest asset was the ability to create very strong friendships. Bruno will always be remembered by the people who met him as a very humble, caring and strong man, both physically and mentally. He was a very strong influence on the way many people viewed life. He never lost his humour, kindness and discretion during his fight against the injustice of his disease which, paradoxically, did not affect his mental faculties. His ashes were scattered in the “Etang de Thau”, according to his last wishes. He was 50 years old.
